Dr. Del Christman

Since 2019 Dr. Christman has served as the Vice President of Research and Development for Autonodyne, LLC. He is a subject matter expert in all areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). His efforts have focused on human-autonomy interfaces; autonomous operations of air, land and sea vehicles in military applications and in the national airspace (NAS); simplified vehicle operations (SVO) in concert with NASA/FAA to enable AAM/UAM; and how autonomy is indispensable toward scaling to multiple-UAS control.
Del is an experienced 24 year Air Force aviator in 10 USAF aircraft and led autonomy, AI and ML efforts at the US Air Force Academy for 15 years as a faculty member and director in the Department of Computer Science.
He earned his BS degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy, an MS degree in Computer Engineering from Colorado Tech, and a PhD in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University.
